This has been a family favorite for a long time. I don’t remember which cookbook I copied the recipe out of, but I have tweaked it a little bit over the years until it feels like my recipe now. The chili tastes great the first night, but is even better the next day. We serve our chili with cheese [...]

Well Now that I’ve missed posting in May entirely I thought I’d try to catch up a little. I have wanted to blog. I’ve thought about blogging so many times about many different topics, but honestly I been busy and kind of in a funk. Some of you may remember that we moved to the Eastern USA [...]

After all, coming from the West where Fall is a blip or glimmer at best, the cool weather and changing leaves are exciting events. But my dreams of Fall continue to be dashed - the high was 93 degrees today, and the [...]

Today has been a very rainy day in our neck of the woods. It was overcast when I left home this morning, but I didn’t think it was going to rain right away. I had only gone a couple of miles down the road when it started pouring! I was somewhat unprepared when we got to CJ’s school. [...]
