I have been searching everywhere for a Luke Skywalker costume! I found a few online, but the choices were very limited and expensive for what they were – mostly polyester. Surprisingly, I couldn’t find any Luke costumes locally. I looked at Target, Walmart, and the Halloween store.
Since CJ’s heart was set on being Luke Skywalker I decided to make him a costume [...]

Halloween Bento & More

I continue to enjoy making my Americanized bento lunches for CJ. They are easier to make than they look -really! The bento lunches have also helped me figure out how much food CJ needs and wants, and his lunches are more balanced nutritionally because he gets small portions of grains, dairy, fruit, vegetables and protein. I just [...]

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior
Take the test!

This cracks me up – you’ve got to try it. Who would have thought I would be a “Very Superior” 1930’s wife? I don’t even cook! And I put my cold feet on my husband at night. I guess my other exceptional abilities make up for these [...]

Pumpkin Dip

During the Fall, I love pretty much anything that contains pumpkin – pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin butter, pumpkin pie, and more. This Pumpkin Dip is an easy way to satisfy a pumpkin craving. Just thinking about it makes me hungry, it is so yummy and delicious.

In honor of [...]

If aliens come to my house, my little boy CJ has got us covered. What he calls the ”bad guy claw,” otherwise know as Mommy’s hair clip, will be deployed and clamp down on any unruly alien behavior.
This is what happens to “girly stuff” when you have a little boy.

Bento Lunch #223

Ok, this isn’t really the 223rd bento lunch I’ve made for CJ – it just feels like it LOL! No, I’m only kidding. I’m just not sure how to label these lunches as I post them. I don’t plan on posting each one, only the more interesting ones.
I can sum this lunch up in two words [...]

Do you remember Ally McBeal and the whole thing about theme songs? Recently I came across this song, White & Nerdy  (click here, I couldn’t get video to load on blog) by Weird Al Yankovic, and bestowed it on DA for his very own personal theme song. Pretty much whenever I see him this song starts playing [...]
